Firstfruits began with an idea: How could women’s needs to gather with other women, experience God’s love and go forth more centered on their own giftedness and purpose be met? Then the Holy Spirit stepped in and something powerful happened!
In the beginning … Firstfruits began as a vision for a women’s ministry whose purpose was to gather women to experience God’s love. And as a result, be transformed!

As word spread about this unique opportunity, other parishes became interested in hosting a Firstfruits gathering. It became apparent to the founders of Firstfruits that this “gathering” needed to be moveable. We became known as a moveable feast of spiritual opportunities for women.

Weekly Word
Sep 9 @ 9:30 am – 10:30 am

Reading and reflecting on the Sunday readings before attending Mass can expand our understanding and prayerful experience of the liturgy. It can also clear up the mystery of readings we find confusing by placing them into the context they were meant to be heard. Come with a Bible, “The WORD Among Us,” or a similar Catholic magazine or app of the daily readings. Be prepared to listen, share and pray as we are led by the Spirit.

Offered most Monday mornings.

No need to register, just show up if you can. Bring friends!

Note: Not offered February 24 & April 13, 2020.

Presenter: Debra Schneider

Clutter Busters
Sep 11 @ 9:30 am – 11:00 am

Accumulating stuff (of the material and spiritual sort) does not discriminate by gender, age, or life stage. It’s in our basements, our attics, our garages, closets, and cupboards. Stuff piles up, distracts, and detracts our paths and keeps us from living freely and fully.

Does this at all seem familiar to you? Do you have a space or two or three that is weighing you down? Join Firstfruits presenter, Mary Janowak, once a month on Wednesday mornings for a drop-in program: Clutter Busters!

Come as you are and collect ideas to take action in clearing your path and clarifying your vision for your spaces and places you call home. Benefits include: inspiration, motivation, accountability, ideas, problem solving, resources, and new vision for how we might live more fully (less encumbered!). And, of course, new friends!

Look to Firstfruits to find the full Clutter Busters calendar.
