Truth Be Told – Discipleship (ZOOM)
Oct 4 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

We are repeating this popular series from last season at Firstfruits. In this series of three 6-week sessions, we will study the gospel of Luke and the book of Acts. We will focus on the person of Jesus and our invitation to be his disciples, and what it means to follow Christ in our fractured world. This is a perfect bible study for beginners as well as more seasoned bible readers.

This series is offered on Monday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm on Zoom in three 6-week series (Fall, Winter, and Spring).  Each six week series stands on its own so you don’t have to register for all three at once.

  • Session 1 (Fall): October 4 to November 8
  • Session 2 (Winter): TBD
  • Session 3 (Spring): TBD

Pre-registration is required in order to add you to the Zoom invitation list. Registration deadline is a week before the event.

Today’s Topic:  The Transfiguration as a Paradigm of Hope
Hope is an extension of Faith. Faith believes that our lives are built upon a love relationship with God; hope believes that God walks with us through every joy and trial.  Yet, in dark times, we struggle with hope.
This talk will focus upon the Transfiguration of the Lord revealing his Father’s close presence to his Son to the end.  And so, with us, we are all transfigured with the Lord and in that awareness, we know hope.
