Firstfruits began with an idea: How could women’s needs to gather with other women, experience God’s love and go forth more centered on their own giftedness and purpose be met? Then the Holy Spirit stepped in and something powerful happened!
In the beginning … Firstfruits began as a vision for a women’s ministry whose purpose was to gather women to experience God’s love. And as a result, be transformed!

As word spread about this unique opportunity, other parishes became interested in hosting a Firstfruits gathering. It became apparent to the founders of Firstfruits that this “gathering” needed to be moveable. We became known as a moveable feast of spiritual opportunities for women.

Join us for a special season of Firstfruits book club, Spiritual Scholars. This year our book choices will focus on the issue of racism. Our racism series this past summer inspired rich dialogue and an awareness of the need for more education around this important topic.

It became clear that any hope for change begins first with an inner transformation. Each one of us needs to listen, learn, and love from a place of compassion. Our hope is to help each other begin that transformation as we study this important topic.

The book we will be discussing is Blessed Is She by local author Victoria Saunders McAfee. Please purchase the book before the first meeting.

This 6-week series is offered via Zoom on Thursdays from January 14 to February 18, 2021 from 12:30-1:30pm.

Pre-registration is required in order to add you to the Zoom invitation list. Registration deadline is a week before the event.

Fee: $25 Regular Price (6-week series) or FREE for Members.
