Firstfruits began with an idea: How could women’s needs to gather with other women, experience God’s love and go forth more centered on their own giftedness and purpose be met? Then the Holy Spirit stepped in and something powerful happened!
In the beginning … Firstfruits began as a vision for a women’s ministry whose purpose was to gather women to experience God’s love. And as a result, be transformed!

As word spread about this unique opportunity, other parishes became interested in hosting a Firstfruits gathering. It became apparent to the founders of Firstfruits that this “gathering” needed to be moveable. We became known as a moveable feast of spiritual opportunities for women.

We Awareness Outreach Opportunity

November 5, 2020 @ 10:00 am – 10:00 am

As part of the Firstfruits We Awareness program, we have committed to providing 140 lunches on the first Thursdays and third Tuesdays from January through May to the MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary. The dates we are committed to are: January 7 & 19, February 4 & 16, March 4 & 16, April 1 & 13 (this is an exception since it is the second Tuesday)  and May 6 & 18. We are looking for volunteers to commit to purchase food supplies and assemble 10 bag lunches at their homes and drop them off at the Firstfruits office by 10 AM on those dates for delivery to the shelter. The lunches include a sandwich, a sweet, a fruit, and a drink in a brown bag. Please consider being part of this service opportunity. Let Mary Jo Nott () know if you want to participate and she’ll send an email with more details.
